Purple Raider Women Place Fourth at B-W Invite

AVON LAKE, Ohio -- Mary Snode (Alliance/Marlington) carded a two-day total of 164, tying for Sunday's low score of 76, in leading the Mount Union women's golf team to fourth place at the Baldwin-Wallace Yellow Jacket Invitational at Sweetbriar Golf Club.

Snode opened the tournament with an 88 on Saturday. She tied for fourth individually.

Kelly Slutz (Orrville/Smithville) tied for 18th, shooting a 173 (89-84). Megan Zenobi (Novelty/West Geauga) added 186 (91-95) for 32nd place and Erica Swanger (Shelby/Shelby) tied for 44th with a 198 (100-98).

As a team, the Purple Raiders finished with a score of 721 (368-353), which trailed team champ Allegheny (635), Wittenberg (660) and Baldwin-Wallace (684).

Mount Union will be in action again next weekend at the Mercyhurst Invitational.
