Women's Golf Finishes Fifth At Purple Raider Classic

ALLIANCE, Ohio - - The Mount Union women's golf team finished in fifth place at the Purple Raider Classic held at Tannenhauf Golf Club Sunday.  

The Purple Raiders totaled 381 strokes on the 5,945 yard par 72 layout. 

Sophomore Lexi Scala (Aliquippa, Pa./Central Valley) led all Mount Union players as she shot an 87. 

Baldwin Wallace won the Purple Raider classic as they totaled 330 strokes which was 10 strokes ahead of Otterbein (340). 

Rebecca Kapusta (BWU) totaled the best individual round of the day as she carded a 79. 

Mount Union returns to the course Thursday when it heads to Jaycees Golf Club in Zanesville, Ohio for the Muskingum Inviational.
