Women’s Golf In First Place After Round One Of Wooster Mohican Classic

JEROMESVILLE, Ohio - -  Mount Union's women's golf team finished in first place after round one of the Wooster Mohican Classic held at the Mohican Hills Golf Club. 

The Purple Raiders totaled 373 strokes on the 5,829 yard par 72 layout which was 15 strokes ahead of second place John Carroll (388). 

The Raiders had three golfers finish in the top 10. Amber Bruno (Struthers/Cardinal Mooney) and Lexi Scala (Aliquippa, Pa./Central Valley) both carded the low round for the Raiders with an 89 which was tied for third and Callie Jesso (Mount Pleasant, Pa/Mount Pleasant) shot a 97 which was tied for seventh.  

Samantha Boyer (Columbus State Community Coll) shot the low individual round of the day with an 84. 

The two-day event concludes tomorrow.
