Women's Golf: Raiders Win Snow Shortened Mount Union Invite; Mawhorr Claims Medalist Honors

ALLLIANCE, Ohio -- Mount Union's women's golf team won a snow shortened Mount Union Invitational at Tannenhauf Golf Club in Alliance.

The Purple Raiders carded a first round team score of 350 on Saturday which 42 strokes ahead of second place Baldwin Wallace (392).  The second round was canceled after a April snowstorm blew through Saturday night.

Mount Union freshman Erica Mawhorr (Zanesville/West Muskingum) won the individual title with an 86 and the Purple Raiders took the top five individual spots.

Mount Union will next compete at the Wooster Spring Invitational April 16-17 at Mohican Hills Golf Course in Jeromesville, Ohio.
