Women's Golf: Mount Union Places Second at the John Carroll Invitational

HUDSON, Ohio – The Mount Union women's golf team finished in second place at the John Carroll Invitational.

The Purple Raiders finished day two with an overall score of 328 and a final score of 667, which was 14 strokes behind first place St. Francis.

Mount Union was led by sophomore Erica Mawhorr (Zanesville/West Muskingum) who shot an 82 and had a final score of 161 which put her in second place.

Also finishing inside the top 10 for Mount Union was senior Morgan Rector (Trafford, Pa./Penn Trafford) who tied for fourth place, sophomore Jackie Capuano (Massillon/Massillon Jackson) who tied for ninth place and junior Olivia DeMartino (Canfield/Canfield) who tied for 11th.

Mount Union will next compete at the Yellow Jacket Invitational at Baldwin Wallace.
