Women's Golf: Raiders in First Place After Day One of OAC Championships

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ohio – Mount Union's women's golf team started the first day of the Ohio Athletic Conference Championships in first place at the River Greens Golf Course in West Lafayette, Ohio.

The Purple Raiders carded a team score of 342 which was only three strokes in front of second place team Otterbein, who scored a team score of 345.

Erica Mawhorr (Zanesville/West Muskingum) led Mount Union as she placed second and carded a score of 83 (+11). Morgan Rector (Trafford, Pa./Penn Trafford) and Allison Pastor (Sagamore Hills/Nordonia) were each in the top five as Rector tied for third with a score of 85 (+13) and Pastor tied for fifth with a score of 86 (+14)

Olivia DeMartino (Canfield/Canfield) placed 12th for the Raiders with a score of 88 and Rachel Markle (Solon/Solon) tied for 19th with a score of 94.

The women's golf team finishes the OAC Tournament with two more rounds at River Greens Golf Course.
