Women's Golf: Mount Union Finishes Day Two in 16th Place at NCAA Tournament

HOUSTON, Texas -- Mount Union is in 16th place after the second day of the NCAA Division III Women's Golf Championships Tuesday at the Bay Oaks Country Club in Houston, Texas. 

The Purple Raiders shot a 342 in the second round and have an overall score of 674 which is six strokes behind 15th place Central College.

Rhodes College leads the 22-team field with a score of 601.

Mount Union was led by senior Morgan Rector (Trafford, Pa./Penn Trafford) who shot an 81 in the second round with an overall score of 164. Rector is tied for 57th in the tournament

Bridgewater's Christina Herbert leads the tournament with a second round score of 69 and carded an overall score of 143.

Mount Union starts the third round of the four-round event Wednesday afternoon.
