Women's Golf: Take Two; Raiders Win Second Straight Tourney

ALLIANCE, Ohio -- Mount Union's women's golf team won its second straight tournament to start the year as the Purple Raiders won the Mount Union Fall Invitational with a score of 328 Sunday at Tannenhauf Golf Club in Alliance. 

Senior Olivia DeMartino (Canfield / Canfield) led the way for the Purple Raiders shooting a 78 and was in second place three strokes behind medalist Jackie Cunningham of Marietta, who carded a 75. 

Mount Union also got an 80 from senior Allison Pastor (Sagamore Hills / Nordonia), which placed her in third place while sophomores Morgan Stubbendieck (Akron / Hoban) and Rachel Markle (Solon / Solon) shot 83 and 87 to finish the team scoring.

The Raiders are back on the links next weekend in the John Carroll Invitational at Hudson Country Club.
