Women's Golf: Mount Union Holds First Place at John Carroll Invitational

HUDSON, Ohio -- Mount Union's women's golf team holds first place after day one at the John Carroll Invitational at Hudson Country Club after shooting a 338. 

Senior Olivia DeMartino (Canfield/Canfield) holds second place overall and led the way for the Purple Raiders after shooting an 80 on day one. Right behind her is fellow classmate Morgan Brumenschenkel (Shelby/Shelby) who shot 81 and is in third place overall.

Sophomore Rachel Markle (Solon/Solon) is in a tie for sixth overall after shooting an 88. Rounding out the five for the Raiders is senior Allison Pastor (Sagamore Hills/Nordonia) and sophomore Morgan Stubbendieck (Akron/Hoban) who are both tied for 10th after shooting an 89 on day one

The Raiders will look for their third consecutive victory when they tee off for day two of the invitational tomorrow morning at Hudson Country Club.
