Women's Golf: Raiders Hold A Tie For First After Day One of the OAC Championships

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ohio -- Mount Union's women's golf team holds a tie for the lead with John Carroll after shooting a 343 on day one of the Ohio Athletic Conference Championships Friday at River Greens Golf Course in West Lafayette. 

Leading the way for the Purple Raiders was senior Allison Pastor (Sagaore Hills/Nordonia) as she holds a tie for second place after firing an 83 on the modified 18 holes of River Greens.

Sophomore Rachel Markle (Solon) was just behind Pastor as she posted an 84 which holds a tie for fifth place. Senior Olivia DeMartino (Canfield) fired an 86 which places her in a tie for fifth.

Rounding out the scoring for the Raiders was freshman Emma Jeffries (Wooster) and Morgan Stubbendieck (Akron/Hoban) who posted a 90 and 92, respectively. Jeffries holds a tie for 20th place while Stubbendieck is tied for 26th.

Jackie Cunningham of Marietta holds the day one lead as an individual as she posted a one over 74.

Day two of the OAC Championships at River Greens is scheduled to tee off Saturday at 10 a.m.
