HOWEY-IN-THE-HILLS, Fla. -- Mount Union's women's golf team finished in 20th place at the 2018 NCAA Division III Women's Golf Championships at the Mission Inn Resort and Club in Howey-In-The-Hills, Fla.

It marked the third straight year the Purple Raiders qualified as a team to the national tournament. Mount Union placed 16th and 17th in 2016 and 2017 respectively.

The Raiders were 20 strokes better than round two as they carded their best round of the tournament Thursday with a 347 which gave them a 54-hole total of 1,082 which was 11 shots back of both St. Mary's (Ind.) and Wartburg (Iowa).

All three teams were among 10 that did not make the cut to Friday's final round. Claremont Mudd-Scripps (Calif.) enters the final day with a 944 and will battle 14 other teams for the national title Friday.

Senior Allison Pastor (Sagamore Hills/Nordonia) had the Raiders best round Thursday as she fired an 81 in her final collegiate round and a three-day total of 298 (94-93-81) to finish in a tie for 98th place with two of her teammates, fellow senior Olivia DeMartino (Canfield) (90-91-87-268) and sophomore Morgan Stubbendieck (Akron/Hoban) (88-89-91=268).
