Women's Golf: Raiders Win Spring Invite; Stubbendieck Earns Medalist Honors

ALLIANCE, Ohio -- Mount Union's women's golf squad shot an 18 hole total of 331 to finish in first place at the Mount Union Spring Invite at Tannenhauf Golf Course.

Junior Morgan Stubbendieck (Akron/Hoban) was the top finisher in the tournament as she carded a score of 80 on the day.

Fellow classmate Erica Mawhorr (Zanesville/West Muskingum) shot two strokes behind Stubbendieck with an 82 for second place. 

Rounding out the rest of the Purple Raider scorecard was sophomore Emma Jeffries (Wooster) with an 84 for fourth while junior Rachel Markle (Solon) and sophomore Brianna Potts (Apple Creek/Waynedale) finished with an 85 and 90 respectively. 

Mount Union is back in action Saturday, April 6 for the John Carroll Spring Shootout at Hudson Country Club in Hudson, Ohio.
