Women's Golf: Raiders Place First at JCU Shootout

HUDSON, Ohio -- Mount Union's women's golf team shot a total score of 340 to place first in the John Carroll Shootout Saturday, at the country club of Hudson. 

Leading the way for the Purple Raiders was sophomore Emma Jeffries (Wooster) who finished on the day with a round score of 83 for fifth place. 

Junior Erica Mawhorr (Zanesville / West Muskingum) finished a stroke behind Jeffries carding an 84 for seventh place. 

Rounding out the rest of the Raider scorecard was sophomore Brianna Potts (Apple Creek / Waynedale) with an 86 for eighth while juniors Morgan Stubbendieck (Akron / Hoban) and Rachel Markle (Solon) recorded an 87 and 89 respectively. 

Mount Union is back in action next weekend for the Wooster Invitational April 13-14 at Mohican Hills Golf Club in Jeromesville, Ohio.
