Women's Golf: Mount Union Holds First Place after Day One of Baldwin Wallace Fall Invite

BEREA, Ohio - Mount Union's women's golf team kicked off their 2019-20 season shooting a 323 to put them in the lead after the first day of the Baldwin Wallace Fall Invitational at Mallard Creek Golf Club. 

The Purple Raiders were led by junior Emma Jeffries (Wooster) who carded a career-low and tournament-best round of 77. One stroke behind her is senior Rachel Markle (Solon) with a 78. The rest of the team scored came from junior Brianna Potts (Apple Creek / Waynedale) with an 83 and sophomore Maura Knox (Stow) with an 85.

The tournament concludes with 18 holes Sunday.
