Women's Golf: Mount Union Wins Baldwin Wallace Invitational for Third Straight Year

COLUMBIA STATION, Ohio - Mount Union's women's golf team finished in first place at the Baldwin Wallace Invitational for the third straight year after a 36-hole total of 323-340=663 at Mallard Creek Golf Course.

Senior Rachel Markle (Solon) was the top finisher and medalist shooting a two day total of 157. She was four strokes ahead of teammate and second place finisher, junior Emma Jeffries (Wooster). Jeffries tied with Baldwin Wallace's Anna Schatscneider for second, shooting a 161 (77-84).

The rest of the Mount Union's score came from fifth place finisher junior Brianna Potts (Apple Creek / Waynedale) and seventh place finisher sophomore Maura Knox (Akron / St. Vincent-St.Mary). Potts shot 171 (83-88) while Knox shot 174 (85-89). 

The Raiders will be back in action Sunday, September 8 as they host the Mount Union Invitational at Tannenhauf Golf Club.
