Women's Golf: Mount Union Takes Second at Mount Union Invitational

ALLIANCE, Ohio - Mount Union's women's golf team finished second out of seven teams after scoring a 344 on Sunday at the Mount Union Fall Invitational at Tannenhaulf Golf Club.

The Purple Raiders were three strokes behind first place finisher Westminster (Pa.).

Mount Union was led by senior Rachel Markle (Solon) who carded a team low 80. Markle finished with the second lowest score of the day, only two strokes behind Baldwin Wallace's first place finisher Anna Schatschneider.

Junior Emma Jeffries (Wooster) recorded an 82 putting her in fourth place. Sophomore Maura Knox (Akron / St.Vincent-St.Mary) and junior Brianna Potts (Apple Creek / Waynedale) rounded out the team score with an 89 and 93 respectively. 

The Raiders will be back in action Saturday and Sunday, September 14-15 at the John Carroll Invite at Hudson Country Club.
