Dan MacDuffie is in his ninth season as men's golf coach and sixth as women's golf coach at Mount Union.

In MacDuffie's seven seasons as head coach, the Purple Raiders have never finished worse than third in the Ohio Athletic Conference. The men's team is the reigning OAC champion and won back-to-back conference titles for the first time in school history in 2007 and 2008. The team placed second in 2009 and 2010. In 2012, MacDuffie won women's OAC Co-Coach of the Year and coached Mary Snode who finished fifth in the nation.

MacDuffie has thrust the Raiders on to the national golf scene as the team finished 25th in 2007, 12th in 2008, and 20th in 2011. He also had a an individual compete in 2009 at the NCAA Men's Golf Championships. For his efforts, he was named 2008 OAC Coach of the Year.

As women's coach, MacDuffie led Mount Union to a third place finish in 2010.

A native of Portland, Maine, MacDuffie earned his bachelor’s degree in sport management from Massachusetts in 2000 and a master’s degree in history from Washington (MD) College in 2002. Before coming to Mount Union, MacDuffie was an assistant men’s basketball coach and admissions counselor at Hiram College from 2003-04.

MacDuffie, who also spent five seasons as an assistant men's basketball coach at Mount Union, resides in Alliance.
