Mount Union to Host 2019 OAC Women's Golf Tournament April 26-28

Mount Union will host the 2019 Ohio Athletic Conference Women's Golf Championships Friday-Sunday, April 26-28 at River Greens Golf Course in West Lafayette, Ohio.

The OAC Women's Golf Championship will be a 54-hole event with 18 holes each day over three days.

Mount Union won the 2018 OAC Championship for its third-straight conference title. Leading the Purple Raiders are 2016 OAC medalist and two-time All-OAC first teamer in junior Erica Mawhorr (Zanesville / West Muskingum) and junior Rachel Markle (Solon), who was fifth a year ago for All-OAC honors.

Otterbein placed second a year ago and returns three all-conference golfers in Abby Grospitch, Maddie Durbin and Abby Chilcoat while freshman Lyndsay Blum leads the Cardinals in stroke average this season at 82.4.

John Carroll was third in 2018 and the Blue Streaks return all-conference performers Sarah Beckwith and Mary Hunt.

Ohio Northern's Lydia Crammer placed third a year ago and is the top golfer this season for the Polar Bears with an 82.3 stroke average.

The top-14 finishers receive All-OAC honors.

This year's event features LIVE Scoring to allow fans to follow the action from the course. The team that wins the OAC Tournament gets an automatic bid to the NCAA Championships May 14-17 at Bay Oaks Country Club in Houston, Texas.
