AUSTINTOWN, Ohio – Mount Union women's lacrosse players Katherine Doraty (Medina/Medina) and Kolbie Haines (Hudson/Hudson) have been named Ohio Athletic Conference Women's Lacrosse Players of the Week.
Doraty was named OAC Offensive Player of the Week and Haines was named OAC Defensive Player of the Week.
This past week Doraty combined for 10 points, seven goals, and three assists, to help the Purple Raiders defeat Hiram and Kenyon . She had five goals in the 23-2 victory against Hiram and set a new school record when she scored the opening goal in nine seconds in the 13-6 victory over the undefeated Kenyon Ladies'.
She leads the team with 12 goals and 16 points on the season.
Haines had back-to-back hat tricks in the victories, tallied three forced turnovers and five groundballs. She is third on the team with groundballs and is fourth on the team with eight points.
Mount Union is 2-1 on the season and travels to Bethany (W.Va.) where they will face-off against Franciscan at 4 pm at Bethany College.
