Women's Lacrosse: Raiders End Season at #1 The College of New Jersey in NCAA Regional Semifinal

EWING, N.J. -- The Mount Union women's lacrosse team's season came to an end after a 14-0 loss to #1 ranked The College of New Jersey in the NCAA Tournament Regional Semifinals Saturday afternoon at TCNJ. 

TCNJ (17-1) got four goals and an assist from Kathleen Jaeger to advance to the NCAA Regional Finals on Sunday where they will play the winner of the Middlebury College and College of Brockport game, taking place at 2:30 p.m. Saturday.  

The Purple Raiders made their fourth straight NCAA Tournament appearance in its five-year existence and end their season with a 14-4 overall record. 

Freshman Mimi Curtis (Lititz, Pa./Manheim Township) made 11 saves for Mount Union, while freshman Danielle Rohrman (Olney, Md./Sherwood) recorded three ground balls, four draw controls and one caused turnover.

The College of New Jersey scored 11 straight first-half goals to lead Mount Union at the break. The Lions tabbed three second-half goals to end the game with a 14-0 final score.
