Women's Lacrosse: Rohrman & Rydell Roll Up Five Goals Each in Raiders Rout at Depauw

GREENCASTLE, Ind. -- Mount Union's women's lacrosse team ran out to an 18-0 halftime lead and never looked back in a 23-3 rout at Depauw Saturday.

The Purple Raiders had 10 different players score as junior Alyssa Rydell (Medina) and sophomore Danielle Rohrman (Olney, Md. / Sherwood) each scored five goals to lead Mount Union to a 3-0 start on the season, while Depauw fell to 0-5 overall.

Mount Union took a 10-0 lead halfway through the first half which started the running clock. Rohrman had all five of her goals, Rydell four goals and Ashley Bernardi (Medina) had four assists all in the first half.

Rydell's fifth goal came with 22 minutes left to play.

Mimi Curtis (Lititz, Pa. / Manheim Township) played the first half in goal to move to 3-0 on the season.

Mount Union next hosts Chatham (Pa.) Wed., Mar. 14 at 7 p.m. at Mount Union Stadium.
