GRAND LAKE, Colo. -- Mount Union had four student-athletes named to the 2018 Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association All-Great Lakes Region Team.
Junior attack Ashley Bernardi (Medina) along with sophomores in goalkeeper Mimi Curtis (Lititz, Pa. / Manheim Township) and midfielder Danielle Rohrman (Olney, Md. / Sherwood) were all first team selections.
Bernardi and Rohrman, both second team selections a year ago, were the top two scorers for a Mount Union team that led the nation in scoring this season. Bernardi had a school single-season record 80 goals and 124 points while Rohrman scored 65 goals and had 93 points.
Curtis was the Ohio Athletic Conference Goalkeeper of the Year and anchored a defense that was fourth nationally in scoring defense. She started all 18 games and had 103 saves with a 6.44 goals against average.
Senior defender Britt Klosterman (Centennial, Colo. / Arapahoe) was an all-region second team pick as she had a team-best 30 caused turnovers.
Mount Union, in just its sixth season of women's lacrosse, went 17-1 in 2018 winning its fifth straight OAC regular season and tournament titles while making its fifth NCAA Tournament appearance.
