Women's Lacrosse: Raiders Beat Ohio Northern For Seventh Straight Win

ADA, Ohio -- Ashley Bernardi (Medina) had her second double-digit point game of the season with 11 points to lead Mount Union to a 16-2 win at Ohio Northern in an Ohio Athletic Conference game Saturday in Ada.

Bernardi, who earlier this week became the program's all-time points leader, tallied four goals and seven assists to pace the Purple Raiders to their seventh straight win.

Mount Union, 8-1 overall and 2-0 in the OAC, also got five goals and two assists from Danielle Rohrman (Olney, Md. / Sherwood), four goals from Sydney Bumbarger (Newbury Park, Calif.), two from Kaitlyn Murphy (Lexington, Va. / Rockbridge County) and one from Kenzie Pensyl (Kent / Roosevelt).

Ohio Northern (4-5, 0-1 OAC) got both of its goals in the final 14 minutes from Sydney Skelding and Sabra Woodruff.

Bernardi and Rohrman each scored three times in the first half as the Raiders led 8-0 at the break.

Mount Union scored five straight in the second half before Skedling scored for Northern to make it 13-1.

The Raiders scored three of the next four goals for the 16-2 final.

Mount Union returns home to host Muskingum Wednesday, April 3 at 7 p.m. at Mount Union Stadium.
