ALLIANCE, Ohio – Mount Union's women's lacrosse team made it a dozen wins in a row after a 19-1 victory against Adrian Tuesday at Mount Union Stadium.
The Purple Raiders are now 13-1 overall.
Nine different Purple Raiders scored as Sydney Bumbarger (Newbury Park, Calif.) had four goals, Kenzie Pensyl (Kent / Roosevelt) had four goals and four assists, Ashley Bernardi (Medina) had three goals and three assists, Danielle Rohrman (Olney, Md. / Sherwood) had two goals and two assists, Kaitlyn Murphy (Lexington, Va. / Rockbridge County) scored two while Alyssa Rydell (Medina), Sabrina Kelly (East Islip, N.Y.), Brenna Duke (Hollywood, Md. / Leonardtown) and Megan Rea (Massillon / Massillon Jackson) each had one.
Adrian (8-7) got goals from Gwyneth Carlson and Annie Rice.
Mount Union scored 10 times in the game's first 25 minutes before Carlson's goal put Adrian on the board and the Raiders scored two more goals to lead 12-1 at the break.
The Raiders scored the first five goals of the second half to move the lead to 17-1 before Adrian got its second goal in a score from Annie Rice. Mount Union finished the scoring with two more scores for the 19-2 final.
Mount Union next plays at Baldwin Wallace in its final regular season road game next Wednesday, April 24 at 7 p.m. in Berea.
