Women's Lacrosse: Raiders Picked to Win Seventh Straight OAC Title

AUSTINTOWN, Ohio – Mount Union's women lacrosse team was picked to win its seventh consecutive Ohio Athletic Conference title by the conference's head coaches.

The Purple Raiders, got eight of nine first place votes in the poll, and looks to continue a run that includes six-straight conference regular season and tournament titles along with six-straight trips to the NCAA Tournament.

The Raiders return 10 letterwinners and six starters from last year's squad led by the return of two of the top three scorers from a year ago in senior Danielle Rohrman (Olney, Md. / Sherwood) and junior Sydney Bumbarger (Newbury Park, Calf.). Rohrman was the OAC Midfielder of the Year and an All-Great Lakes Region First Team selection who tied a school record with 80 goals along with 32 assists for 112 points while Bumbarger scored 55 goals with 14 assists and 69 points on her way to All-OAC second team honors. 

Mount Union also returns three more All-OAC selections in senior midfielder Mackenzie Pensyl (Kent / Roosevelt) (30 goals, 37 assists, 67 points) and junior defenders Brenna Duke (Hollywood, Pa.) and Brisa Seibert (Spring Brook, N.Y. / Iroquois).

Mount Union opens the season at home against Kenyon, Tuesday, February 25 at 5 p.m. at Mount Union Stadium.
