Wrestling Finishes In Fourth Place At Messiah Invitational

(GRANTHAM, PA)--Mount Union's wrestling team finished fourth out
of 13 teams at the Messiah (PA) Petrofes Invitational in Grantham,
PA.
The Purple Raiders were led by freshman Riki Reynolds(Marion/Marion
Pleasant), who won the championship at 125 pounds. In the title
match, Reynolds won the title with an impressive pin just :40
seconds against Messiah's Danny Lethbridge.
Senior Mike Manypenny (Salem/Salem) had also a great weekend as he
finished 4-1, to earn second place at 174 pounds and sophomore Bill Schindel (Tallmadge/Akron Hoban) also went 4-1 to earn a second
place finish at 197.
Sophomores Bryan Skoff (St. Clairsville/Bridgeport) and Andy Jenkins (Stow/Woodridge) both earned a fourth place finishes to
round out the top performances for the Raiders.
The Raiders head back to the mat Tuesday night as they travel to
Ohio Athletic Conference rival John Carroll for a key dual match
Tuesday at 7:30 pm.
