Mount Union Wrestler Richie Clark Named ESPN The Magazine/CoSIDA Academic All-District IV Second Team
DELAWARE, Ohio--Mount Union senior wrestler Richie Clark
(Solon/Solon) has been named to the ESPN The Magazine Academic
All-District IV Men's At-Large Second Team as selected by the
College Sports Information Directors of America.
Clark finished the season with a 26-14 record and was the OAC
Champion at 149 pounds. He competed in the NCAA Championships
and off the mat is a Pre-Law major with a 3.88 grade point
average.
At-Large teams include athletes from tennis, golf, wrestling and
swimming teams.
To be selected Academic All-District, a student-athlete must be a
starter or key reserve with at least a 3.30 grade point
average. Academic All-District First Team selections advance
to the national Academic All-American ballot. Sports
Information Directors within a district vote for the Academic
All-District teams with members of the CoSIDA Academic All-American
committee voting on the national ballot. District IV includes
every NCAA Division II, III and NAIA institution in Michigan, Ohio,
Kentucky, Tennessee and Alabama.
