PREVIEW: Wrestling Travels to Thiel For Dual Friday

Senior Jeremy Regula placed second in the 165 pound at the Messiah Petrofes Invitational

Mount Union's wrestling team heads to Greenville, Pennsylvania to compete on the campus of Thiel College (Pa.) Friday December 7th at 7:00 p.m.

The Purple Raiders (2-2) are coming off competing at the Messiah Petrofes Invitational in Grantham, Pennsylvania where they had 16 Raiders placed in this year's invitational and finished second overall with 157 points.

Senior Nick Terifaj (Brook Park/ Strongsville) was crowned champion in the 285 pound weight class.

Junior Nick Rajcsak (Stow/Stow) placed second at 197 and senior Jeremy Regula (Dundee/Claymont) placed second at 165.

Sophomore Bryant Roby (Westchester, Ill. /St. Joseph) placed third at 141 and freshman Jeremy Border (Caldwell/Caldwell) placed third at 133.

The last meeting between Mount Union and Thiel, the Purple Raiders won 22-16 on Jan. 20, 2012.

Thiel comes into this match with a 2-3 record with coming off placing 14th of 16 teams at the 32nd Annual Ohio Northern Invitational on December 1st.
