Wrestling: Mount Union Ranked No. 22 in the NWCA Poll

ALLIANCE, Ohio -- Mount Union's wrestling team is ranked No. 22 in the National Wrestling Coaches Assosication poll that was released Wednesday, November 15th.

The Purple Raiders finished third out of nine at the Mount Union Invitational behind Lake Erie and Gannon on Saturday, November 11th.

The Raiders were led by senior Jesse Gross (Norwalk/St. Paul) who was named the most outstanding wrestler of the tournament while winning the 165 pound division. Gross has earned the 9th overall ranking at the 165 pound slot in the nation. Senior Nick Mancini (Boardman/Boardman) is ranked No. 10 in the country at the 125 pound weight class after his second place finish at the Mount Union Invitational. In the 141 pound division, senior Alec Cotton (Hartville/Lake) finished fourth at the Mount Union Invitational and is currently ranked No. 8 in the country.

Mount Union will be back on the mats tomorrow, November 18th at 10 a.m. for the Mount Union Duals in the Peterson Fieldhouse.
