MECHANICSBURG, Pa. - Mount Union's wrestling team finished second at the 2017 Messiah Petrofes Invitational on Saturday afternoon. Mount Union tallied 193 points as they sat behind first-place No. 6 Messiah who recorded 202 points. No. 24 Waynesburg followed behind Mount Union with 127 points.

The Purple Raiders had 17 placers, with four first-place finishers in Nick Mancini (Boardman/Boardman) at 125, Alec Cotton (Hartville/Lake) at 141, Michael McIntire (Wadsworth/St. Vincent-St. Mary) at 157 and Isaiah Watson-Kirksey (Alliance/Alliance) at 184. Watson-Kirksey won his match in overtime 3-1 against #7 Derek Beitz from Messiah.

Mount Union is back at home against Ohio Northern in an OAC Dual on Tuesday, December 5 at 7:30 pm.
