Mount Union's Luke Hernandez Named OAC Wrestler of the Week

AUSTINTOWN, Ohio -- Mount Union's Luke Hernandez (Nashport/Tri-Valley) has been named the Ohio Athletic Conference Wrestler of the Week. (12/17)

The sophomore captain earns his second athlete of the week honor after going 4-0 at the Kalahari Duals with three decisions and a technical fall.

The Purple Raiders also went undefeated as a team, improving their overall record to 10-0.

Hernandez is now 15-5 on the season and is second among the team with six technical falls; currently with 11 career technical falls for a team-high.

No. 6 ranked Mount Union will be back in action after the New Year at the National Wrestling Coaches Association National Duals in Louisville, Kentucky starting on January 4.
