Women's Soccer: Druzina Named to Academic All-Ohio Team
WILMINGTON, Ohio -- Junior Erika Druzina (Kirtland/Lake Catholic) was named to the 2013 Academic All-Ohio Division III second team by the Ohio Collegiate Soccer Association announced Friday (January 10) afternoon.
A neuroscience major with a GPA of 3.93, Druzina played in all 20 games, and was a member of the defense that allowed 15 goals which is second best in the conference and second best in school history. She was also a Capital One Academic All-District Selection.
The Purple Raiders finished the season with a 12-6 record and the 12 wins set a new single school record for wins in a season.
To qualify for Academic All-Ohio, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.210 cumulative grade-point average, start more than 50 percent of all games and be a significant contributor to the team, be a sophomore or above in academic standing, and be in their second year at the current school.
