Women's Soccer: Mount Union Takes Down Penn St.-Behrend

ALLIANCE, Ohio -- Mount Union's women's soccer team posted its second straight shutout with a 2-0 win over Penn State-Behrend Wednesday at Mount Union Stadium.

Maggie O'Donnell (Avon) and Katelin Chilton (Salem) each scored goals while Michelle Kissane (Amherst / Steele) grabbed 11 saves for her second shutout in goal as the Purple Raiders evened their record at 2-2 on the season.

Penn State-Behrend fell to 2-3 with the loss.

O'Donnell tallied her first score of the season in the 30th minute as she took a through ball from Cortni Arp (Copley) which gave Mount Union a 1-0 halftime lead.

Chilton put Mount Union up 2-0 in the 86th minute as she put away a rebound off a corner kick.

Kissane made it all hold up with seven of her 11 saves in the second half.

Mount Union stays home hosting Hiram Saturday, Sept. 15 at 6 p.m. at Mount Union Stadium.
