AUSTINTOWN, Ohio -- Five of Mount Union's women's soccer student-athletes have been selected to the 2018 All-Ohio Athletic Conference teams.
Senior Alex Brown (Millersburg/West Holmes) and juniors Lauren Beech (Hanoverton/United Local) and Danielle Rohrman (Olney, Md./Sherwood) collected second team honors, while senior Nicole Lanese (Macedonia/Nordonia) and freshman Michelle Kissane (Amherst/Steele) recevied honorable mention.
Brown, a 2018 OAC All-Tournament team and 2017 honorable mention selection, anchored the Mount Union defense through 18 starts. Brown and the defensive squad finished second in goals against average in the conference at 0.78.
Receiving first-time conference honors, Beech was the Purple Raiders' leading scorer this season finishing with seven through 18 games was named to the OAC second team.
Rohrman, who was also dubbed with honorable metion last season, tabbed four goals and an assist leading to a second team selection.
Lanese receives all-conference honors for the third year in a row after a record setting year. She is now the all-time leader in career goals (54) and career points (123) in Mount Union women's soccer history.
In her first season as a Purple Raider, Kissane has been named honorable mention. Kissane logged 1599:50 minutes in goal making 124 saves. The freshman goalkeeper led the OAC in save percentage (.867) and also named to the OAC All-Tournament team.
Mount Union ended the 2018 season with an overall record of 11-7 and a third place finish in the OAC with a conference record of 7-2.
