Men's and Women's Swimming and Diving Fall in OAC Opener at John Carroll

Freshman Katy Alkire (Akron/Firestone) claimed wins in the 100 Butterfly (1:03.68) and 200 IM (2:20.94) to lead the Mount Union women.

Sophomore Alyson Kolesar (Stow/Stow) won the 50 Freestyle with a time of 26.43, while fellow sophomore Tia Marquinez (Hudson/Walsh Jesuit) won the 1 meter Dive (192.45) as the other top performances.

On the men's side junior Matt Carlozzi (Canfield/Canfield) won the 200 Freestyle (1:49.07) while freshman Rob Brocious (Mentor/Mentor) won the 1000 Freestyle (10:30.83).

Mount Union returns home next Friday (Nov. 13) to host Ohio Wesleyan at 6 pm at the Hammond Natatorium in Alliance.
