Mount Union Swimmers Mary Vallinger and Alyson Kolesar Named Academic All-OAC
(AUSTINTOWN, OH)--Mount Union junior Mary
Vallinger (Poland/Poland Seminary) and sophomore Alyson
Kolesar (Stow/Stow) were named Academic All-Ohio Athletic
Conference Women's Swimming by the conference's 10 faculty
athletics representatives.
Vallinger won her third straight OAC title in the 3 meter dive and
placed second after two OAC titles in the 1 meter dive. Out
of the pool, she has a 3.77 grade point average as a psychology
major.
Kolesar was a five-time All-OAC selection this past season and in
her career has nine all-conference honors. She also has
posted five school records and is an exercise science major with a
3.79 grade point average.
In order to be named Academic All-OAC a student-athlete must be a
starter or key reserve, who is sophomore academically in their
second year of participation with at least a 3.25 grade point
average. The conference's 10 faculty athletics
representatives make the selections.
