Swimming and Diving Earn Team Scholar All-American Awards, Moore Earns Individual Honors

ALLIANCE, Ohio – Mount Union women's swimming and diving team was recognized by the College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) for their academic success this past year. The Purple Raider women not only earned team awards but freshman Tyler Moore (Amherst/Amherst Steele) earned Scholar All-American Honorable Mention as well. 

The CSCAA Scholar All-American Team awards is presented to college and university swimming and diving teams, who have achieved a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher. The Raiders women's team combined for a 3.44 grade point average.

The Scholar All-American are given out to individuals who achieve a grade point average of 3.5 or higher, for the semester or cumulative average and achieve a "B" time standard.

A biology and pre-med major with a GPA 3.75, Moore was named Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) Swimmer of the Year and holds the OAC record in the 100 breast. He earned all-conference honors in the 100 breast, 200 breast and the 200 IM and earned all-OAC honors as part of the 400 medley relay.
