Women's Swimming and Diving: Raiders Look to Compete for Second Straight OAC Title

The Mount Union women's swimming and diving team looks to claim their second straight Ohio Athletic Conference Swimming and Diving title as they compete at the OAC Championships Thursday-Saturday at the Ocasek Natatorium on the campus of the University of Akron.

In last year's championships, the Raiders took home the school's first-ever team title with with 832 points with Ohio Northern finishing second with 664.  

This year, sophomore Dana Lautenschleger (Solon/Solon) leads the way for the Raiders seeded first in the 200 yard freestyle (1:56.68), the 500 yard freestyle (5:05.47) the 1000 yard freestyle (10:51.73) and the 1650 yard freestyle (17.27.02).

Sophomore Megan Leibensperger (Uniontown/Green) is seeded second in the 500 yard freestyle (5:18.85), 1000 yard freestyle (11:16.83) and the 1650 yard freestyle (18:12.31).

Senior Rose Aldo (Mansfield, Mass./Mansfield) is seeded second in the 100 yard freestyle (54.73)and the 200 yard IM (2:13.31). 

Senior Jessica Swanson (Uniontown/Lake) is seeded third in the 100 yard breaststroke (1:08.28). 

In relay action, the 200 yard freestyle relay (1:40.73), 400 yard freestyle relay (3:43.16) and the 800 yard freestyle relay (8:10.76) are all seeded second while the 200 yard medley relay (1:51.55) and the 400 yard medley relay (4:03.65) are each seeded third.
