GREENSBORO, N.C. -- Mount Union sophomore Dana Lautenschleger (Solon/Solon) earned All-American honors with a 15th place finish in the 1650 freestyle at the NCAA Division III Swimming Championships Saturday in Greensboro, N.C.
Lautenschleger posted a school record time in the event of 17:07.52.
She is just the seventh All-American women's swimmer at Mount Union.
It was her third and final event at the national championships as earlier in the meet as she set another school record in the 200 freesyle (1:53.34) with a 29th place finish and also placed 22nd in the 500 freestyle (4:59.66).
Lautenschleger, the Ohio Athletic Conference women's swimmer of the year, was the conference's lone female reprsentative at the national meet as she helped lead the Purple Raiders to their second straight OAC team title this year.
