AKRON, Ohio -- Mount Union's women's swimming and diving team retains second place with a score of 434 after day two of the Ohio Athletic Conference Championships at the Ocasek Natatorium on the campus of the University of Akron.
The Raiders trail John Carroll (593.5) and are ahead of third place Ohio Northern (367.5), fourth place Baldwin Wallace (367) and fifth place Wilmington (186).
Leading the way for the Raiders was senior Dana Lautenschleger (Solon) who won the 200 yard freestyle for the third consecutive year with a time of 1:54.13.
Also in the 200-yard freestyle, senior Megan Leibensperger (Uniontown/Green) earned All-OAC honors with a third place finish with a time of 1:57.67.
Lautenschleger and Leibensperger also competed on the 800-yard freestyle relay team with senior Ann Zielasko (Silver Lake/Hoban) and sophomore Erin Bain (Beaver Falls, Pa./Blackhawk) that won the event with a time of 7:51.45.
Juniors Regina Saxon (Hudson) and Lauren Oktavec (Brunswick) also earned All-OAC honors with third place finishes on the night. Saxon finished with a time of 1:06.50 in the 100 yard breaststroke while Oktavec had a time of 59.13.
The top three finishers in individual events and the top two relay teams in each event earn All-OAC conference honors.
Competition finishes Saturday, Feb. 17 with preliminaries at 10 a.m. followed by the finals at 6 p.m. at the University of Akron.
