Women's Swimming and Diving: Purple Raiders Finish Second at Westminster (Pa.) Relays

NEW WILMINGTON, Pa.--Mount Union's women's swimming and diving team finished second with 108 points at the Westminster Relays at Westminster (Pa.) College Friday night. 

The women finished 10 points out of first place, trailing Gannon University who scored 128 points. 

The Purple Raiders first victory of the night was in the 3x100-yard butterfly relay as sophomore Maggie Gyurke (Bellevue/St. Mary Central Catholic), freshmen Erika Drager (Berea/Berea-Midpark) and Kaitlyn DeWitt (Hudson) tallied a time of 3:10.93. 

Drager was also a member of the 800-yard freestyle relay team that collected first place with a time of 8:23.37 along with fellow classmates Callie Landry (Broussard, La./Teurlings Catholic) and Aurelia Incristi (Rockwall, Tex./Rockwall). 

DeWitt placed first in the 3x500-yard freestyle relay joined by junior Alison Jacobs (Canton/GlenOak) and freshman Callie Landry (Broussard, La./Teurlings Catholic) with a recorded time of 17:04.38.

The Purple Raiders are in action next weekend with a dual meet with John Carroll in the season home opener Saturday, November 3 at Hammond Natatorium. Start time is scheduled for 1 p.m.
