Women's Swimming and Diving: Raiders Rise to Seventh After Day Two of the Wooster Invite

WOOSTER, Ohio -- Mount Union's women's swimming and diving team rose to seventh place with a score of 421 after day two of the Wooster Invitational on Friday at Ellen Shapiro Natatorium.

The Purple Raiders finished ninth in the 200-yard freestyle relay team with swimmers freshmen Erika Drager (Berea/Berea-Midpark), and Aurelia Incristi (Rockwall, Tex./Rockwall), McKenna Bishop (Hartville/Lake) and sophomore Lauren Stajcar (Strongsville) who clocked a time of 1:41.08. 

Senior Sarah Gonda (Boardman) was a member of the 400-yard medley relay team that placed 10th with a time of 4:07.59. 

The freshmen relay team of Callie Landry (Broussard, La./Teurlings Catholic), Kaitlyn DeWitt (Hudson), Aurelia Incristi (Rockwall, Tex./Rockwall) and Lindsey Collins (Uniontown/Massillon Jackson) recorded a time of 8:16.31 in the 800-yard freestyle event. 

In diving, Sophomore Bella Wagner placed eighth in the 1-meter diving event.

The final day of the Wooster Invitational is Saturday with preliminaries starting at 11 a.m. and finals beginning at 6 p.m.
