Women's Swimming and Diving: Raiders Fall Short in OAC Competition

ALLIANCE, Ohio—Mount Union's women's swimming and diving team fell in Ohio Athletic Conference competition to Ohio Northern 149-142 Saturday afternoon at Hammond Natatorium.

First-place finishes came from senior Lauren Oktavec (Brunswick) in the 200-yard backstroke, fellow classmate Regina Saxon (Hudson) in the 200-yard breaststroke and sophomore Lauren Stajcar (Strongsville) in the 100-yard breaststroke.

The team of junior Elise Pichola (Rocky River), freshmen Erika Drager (Berea/Berea-Midpark), Lindsey Collins (Uniontown/Massillon Jackson) and Aurelia Incristi (Rockwall, Tex./Rockwall) clocked a first-place time of 1:44.21 in the 200-yard freestyle relay.

Sophomore Sarah Hrycyk (Massillon/Jackson) defeated her competition in the 1-meter diving event. 

Up next, Mount Union travels to Wilmington on Saturday, January 19 with a 1 p.m. start time.
