Women's Swimming and Diving: Raiders Breeze Past Titans on Senior Day

ALLIANCE, Ohio—Mount Union's women's swimming and diving squad defeated Westminster (Pa.) 177.5-116.5 Saturday afternoon at Hammond Natatorium.

Leading the way for the Purple Raiders were freshmen Aurelia Incristi (Rockwall, Tex./Rockwall) and Callie Landry (Broussard, La./Teurlings Catholic). Incristi placed first in the 200-yard freestyle and 200-yard IM. Incristi was also a member of the 400-yard freestyle relay team that recorded a winning time of 3:47.67 with junior Elise Pichola (Rocky River) along with fellow classmates Erika Drager (Berea/Berea-Midpark) and Lindsey Collins (Uniontown/Massillon Jackson). Landry collected victories in the 500-yard and 1000-yard freestyle.

The Raiders also tallied wins from senior Lauren Oktavec (Brunswick) in the 100-yard backstroke, sophomore Lauren Stajcar (Strongsville) in the 100-yard breaststroke, freshman Kaitlyn DeWitt (Hudson) in the 200-yard butterfly and Collins who tied for first in the 50-yard freestyle. Senior Regina Saxon clocked a winning time of 2:33.86 in the 200-yard breaststroke. 

The Raiders are back in action February 14-16 at the University of Akron for the Ohio Athletic Conference Championships.
