Women's Swimming and Diving: Raiders Sting BW at Home

ALLIANCE, Ohio - Mount Union's women's swimming and diving team defeated Baldwin Wallace 137-96 in an Ohio Athletic Conference dual Friday evening at the Hammond Natatorium.

The Purple Raiders improve their record to 2-3 overall and 1-1 in the OAC.

Leading the way for Mount Union was freshman Alexis Schuller (Middleburg Heights / Berea-Midpark) and junior Lauren Stajcar (Strongsville).

Schuller claimed first place in the 200-yard freestyle, 500-yard freestyle, and the 200-yard freestyle relay with help from senior Elise Pichola (Rocky River), freshman Nichol Ellesin (Alliance / Marlington), and sophomore Erika Drager (Berea / Berea-Midpark). Stajcar took first in the 200-yard IM, 100-yard breaststroke, and the 200-yard medley along with sophomore Lindsey Collins (Uniontown / Massillon Jackson), junior Maggie Gyurke (Bellevue / St. Mary Central Catholic), and sophomore Aurelia Incristi (Rockwall, Tex. / Rockwall).

Also with first place finishes was Collins in the 50-yard freestyle and from junior Sarah Hrycyk (Massillon / Jackson) in the 1-meter diving competition. 

The Raiders return to action Friday, Nov. 15 as they host Wooster at 6 p.m.
