Women’s Tennis Falls to First Place ONU

LIMA, Ohio—The Mount Union women's tennis team lost an Ohio Athletic Conference match to Ohio Northern, 8-1, Sunday afternoon at the Westwood Tennis and Fitness Center in Lima.

The Purple Raiders (9-6, 2-3 OAC) took one of three doubles points before dropping all six singles points in defeat. The Polar Bears have won eight consecutive matches and remain unbeaten in the OAC.

Junior Courtney Adamsky (New Philadelphia/New Philadelphia) and freshman Taylor Dowling (Canton/Massillon Jackson) earned the lone point for the Raiders with an 8-4 win at No. 3 doubles over Lauren Rife and Carly Olmstead.

Mount Union's next match will be Tuesday when they host Capital at 3:30 pm in Alliance.
