ALLIANCE, Ohio—The fourth-seeded Mount Union women's tennis team will host No. 5 Baldwin-Wallace in an Ohio Athletic Conference Quarterfinal match Tuesday at 3:30 pm in Alliance.

The Purple Raiders (12-6, 5-3 OAC) won their final three regular season matches to earn the right to host the opening round of the tournament. All three matches were 9-0 shutouts.
Senior Krissy Hallett (Willoughby Hills/Willoughby South) leads the way at No. 1 singles for the Raiders. A three-time All-OAC selection, Hallett (9-9) is tied for third on the school's all-time wins list with 102 victories. She is 9-6 on the season with sophomore Megan Czuchra (Mantua/Crestwood) at No. 1 doubles.
Freshmen Mandy Wise (North Canton/Hoover) and Hannah Arvidson (North Canton/GlenOak) have been the team's top doubles pair with a 12-6 record at second doubles. Wise is 12-6 at No. 2 singles while Arvidson is 13-5 mainly at No.3 singles.
Junior Courtney Adamsky (New Philadelphia/New Philadelphia) is a team-best 14-4 at No. 5 singles. Freshman MacKenzie Jenkins (North Hampton/Northwestern) is 12-3 since taking over at No. 6 singles in the spring.
The Yellow Jackets (9-13, 4-4 OAC) are the two-time defending OAC Tournament Champions and have won four of the last five overall. They suffered their first sub-.500 season since 2003-04.
Senior Jenny Greene and junior Rebecca Mittler have split time at No. 1 singles for the Yellow Jackets. A three-time All-OAC selection, Greene ranks 7th in school history with 116 career wins and is 5-5 at the position and 11-13 overall while Mittler is 4-8 at the position and 12-12 overall. Junior Danielle Rueger has a team-best 13 wins at No. 4 singles and is 7-3 over her last 10 matches.
In doubles, Mittler and sophomore Morgan Baker lead the Yellow Jackets with a 9-13 record at first doubles.
Mount Union defeated Baldwin-Wallace, 5-4, in their previous match this season. The Yellow Jackets took two of three doubles points before the Raiders' dramatic comeback. With the score tied, Adamsky defeated Whitney Yoder at No. 5 singles in a thrilling 6-4, 7-6, 9-7 decision.
Baldwin-Wallace saw its nine-match winning streak over Mount Union come to an end in April. The last Purple Raiders victory was March 30, 2004 by a 6-3 score.
2012 OAC Women's Tennis Tournament
The top eight teams during the OAC regular season qualify for the OAC Tournament with the top four seeds hosting first round matches. Ohio Northern (19-4, 8-0 OAC) enters as top seed after claiming the regular season championship.
The OAC Tournament Final Four is played at the Lindner Family Tennis Center in Mason, which is home to professional tennis' Western & Southern Open. The stat-of-the-art facility has 10 courts and a main center court that has been the site of numerous professional and amateur championship events.
