Women's Tennis: Mount Union Hosts Otterbein Tuesday With Conference Title on the Line

Mount Union's women's tennis team can clinch at least a share of its first-ever Ohio Athletic Conference title with a win over Otterbein in the regular season finale Tuesday, Apr. 22 at 3:30 pm at Whitehill Tennis Courts in Alliance.

The Purple Raiders are 12-1 overall and 6-1 in the OAC.  Otterbein is in first place at 6-0 while Ohio Northern is tied with Mount Union at 6-1.  Both Otterbein and Northern wrap up their seasons this Saturday.

Sophomore Megan Reichert (Ashtabula/Lakeside) is trying to close out a perfect regular season in singles play as she has competed in every match and is currently 13-0 -- 8-0 at No. 5 and 5-0 at No. 6.

Junior Taylor Dowling (Canton/Massillon Jackson) is also 10-0 in singles this season sporting a 4-0 mark at No. 4 while 6-0 at No. 6.

Reichert with her doubles partner -- junior MacKenzie Jenkins (North Hampton/Northwestern) and Dowling with her doubles partner -- junior Mandy Wise (North Canton/Hoover) are each 6-1 in conference doubles matches.

Mount Union will host a quarterfinal match in OAC Women's Tennis Tournament Tuesday, April 29 at 3:30 pm
