#15 Women's Track & Field Wins Eight Events at Homon Invitational

ALLIANCE, Ohio -- No. 15 ranked Mount Union's women's track and field team won eight events at the John Homon Invitational at Mount Union Stadium.

Senior Daryn Herman (Fairview Park/Fairview) and junior Emily Mazzaferri (Canton/GlenOak) were each part of two wins.

Herman won the 400 hurdles with a time of 1:06.70 while Mazzaferri won the 800 meters with a time of 2:19.02 then the duo combined with sophomore Brooke Benner (Orrville/Orrville) and freshman Marrianna White (Macedonia/Nordonia) to win the 4x400 relay with a time of 4:08.37.

Other winners included junior Lisa Brasdovich (Columbia Station/Columbia) in the 200 meters (26.80), sophomore Carly Stock (Cuyahoga Heights/Cuyahoga Heights) in the shot put (40-3.25), freshman Veronica Clutter (Geneva/Geneva) in the hepthalon (3,963 points) while seniors Alyssa Flitcraft (Alliance/Marlington) and Bevin Blake (Strongsville/Strongsville) won the long jump (16-7) and pole vault (10-2.5) to round out the event winners.

Mount Union will compete next Saturday at the All-Ohio Championships at Ohio Wesleyan University in Delaware.
