Mount Union's Veronica Clutter Named OAC Women's Field Athlete of the Week

AUSTINTOWN, Ohio -- Mount Union freshman Veronica Clutter (Genvea/Geneva) has been named Ohio Athletic Conference Women's Field Athlete of the Week.

Clutter took first in the Heptathlon with 3,963 points at the Mount Union John Homon Invitational this past weekend April 5th and 6th.

The Heptathlon is comprised of seven events: 100 m hurdles, high jump, shot put, 200 m, long jump, javelin throw and the 800 m

Clutter placed first in the long jump (5.16m) and 200m (25.64), second in the shot put (9.34m), 100m hurdles (16.47) and javelin throw (24.84), third in the high jump (1.40m) and fifth in the 800m (2:46.89).

She and the rest of the Purple Raiders will travel to the All-Ohio Championships at Ohio Wesleyan on April 13th at 11:00 am.
